When Erik Anders Lang and the Adventures in Golf team visited Morocco, Benjamin was on hand to help out. One thing led to another and he became part of the story.
Hosting Erik and his team at Royal Golf Dar Es Salam completed a circle. Back in 2016 golf architect James Duncan asked Benjamin to travel to Morocco to help him put some 1970s cool back into the Parcours Rouge, a course designed by legendary architect Robert Trent Jones Sr. at the request of the late King Hassan II. Benjamin worked with Dave Axland and Arturo Escobar and to rebuild the greens according to RTJs original sketches, interpreting them to reinstate some pin positions that are fun for everyday players, and some that can challenge modern day professional golfers. Naturally we added a little James Duncan magic along the way.
Through our eighteen month Moroccan adventure we made friends, shared knowledge and had an absolute blast. We can’t recommend the country and its people, food, culture and architecture highly enough. But don’t take our word for it… listen to the patron saint of golf adventurers.
